Back To School Book List

Hi there!

As I listen to Beyonce’s Renaissance album for the 100th (possibly 200th?) time, I am eager to plan for this upcoming school year. One thing I like to do is plan what I want to (and will) read for this upcoming academic year to better inform my perspective of the world. I wouldn’t be a good educator if I didn’t provide a textbook list and assigned reading. Don’t worry, these books are not $100+ and I am sure you will want to read/use them again.

After all, the goal is to always be better. Let’s get to it…

Books I recommend:

  1. Inclusion on Purpose: An Intersectional Approach to Creating a Culture of Belonging at Work by Ruchika Tulshyan

  2. Inclusion Revolution: The Essential Guide to Dismantling Racial Inequity in the Workplace by Daisy Auger-Domínguez

  3. The Wake Up: Closing the Gap Between Good Intentions and Real Change by Michelle MiJung Kim

  4. Professional Troublemaker: The Fear-Fighter Manual by Luvvie Ajayi Jones

You can purchase these where books are sold. This is also a great opportunity to support Women of Color (WoC) authors :)
